Purlicue Magic Message
I just returned from an epic trip to NYC only to jump back in the car and leave for my new job orientation in Orlando.
We live in uncertain times, but if we have faith we have nothing to fear.
A new Women In Puppetry Interview video is on its way!
My Magic Life
Wow! What a whirlwind of a trip to the big city!
So, back in October, I turned 30 years old. Since its kind of a milestone birthday, I wanted it to be epic. But I just moved back in with my parents, I’m currently unemployed and my bank account is running low. My parents understood, and not only did they surprise me with a visit from a dear friend, they also gave me a little extra money to make my NYC trip possible.
God continued to bless, because some friends invited me to stay in their lovely home while I was there.
I got to spend time with my mentor and friend Peter Linz, my new buddy Nicola McEldowney, and to top it all off I had the privilege to visit the set of Sesame Street!
It was dreadfully difficult to leave, but now I’m home, only to get back on the road (in the opposite direction) to Orlando.
My new job starts there in just a couple weeks so I have paperwork to fill out and orientation to attend.
Peter and I on the Street.
Grand Central Station!
Kinda sorta Times Square.
Made a new fairy friend!
Leslie was so kind to walk me to the gate. We had a great chat. Such a privilege to meet her!
A Little Inspiration
Every four years we face this same ridiculous uncertainty. While many are afraid and hurting, I cling to my faith in God, Who can make good come from any situation, no matter how sad and horrible.
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
Even if you don’t believe in God, you can’t deny that showing love for others is the best way to combat fear. I’ve had 1 Peter 2:17 on my lock screen to remind me…
“Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.”
Women In Puppetry
This month I interviewed Katherine Hannaford. Katherine is a great puppet builder and puppeteer. She told me all about her experience with building puppets and about the very cool puppetry program she has for the middle school kids she teaches every day.
In December, our next puppeteer will be Rachel Herrick! Rachel is an actress and puppeteer in California. She works for Swazzle, has a YouTube channel called Adorkable Rachel and has had some epic adventures of her own recently.
Stay tuned for more magic!
Love always, aim higher,
